Spc. Aaron Aamot

It was a somber but supportive scene yesterday, as the procession
transported the body of Spc Aaron Aamot back home to Ferndale.

So many people of all walks of life came out in a show of patriotism
and support to honor this soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Two ladder trucks from the Whatcom County Fire Department

Law enforcement officers from throughout the county came to honor
this hero.  Here's the first of 3 Lynden Police vehicles.

Border Patrol Officers at the Slater Rd Overpass.
There must have been 150 people at the overpass with
flags and yellow ribbons as the procession passed below.

I saw representitives from all the military branches in attendence.
Along with those who are active duty, I also saw many older
veterans in uniform in honor of Aaron Aamot.

Tomorrow, November 14th at 1 pm there will be a memorial
service at Ferndale High School gym. The public is invited to attend.

Here's a video shared by FerndaleCC of the procession.
